New Look pattern question

I bought a simple shirt pattern (New Look 6197) - see photos. So, in the past, all the shirts I have ever made have a two piece yoke so there is a clean finish inside and out. This pattern calls for on;y one yoke piece meaning it will not look finished on the inside.Why? Is this the new way of sewing casual shirts? I am making it with two yoke pieces anyway but was thinking that, if I was new to sewing, I would wonder why the shirt is not finished on the inside. Anyone have this experience? I just find it odd. I am doing it my way anyway but was just curious. Photos for reference. Thanks!

I also find that strange! I would never consider making an unfaced yoke, but I am an old lady set in my ways!

Same here and, in some cases, I refuse to capitulate!
