I just did a full bust adjustment on a bodice pattern, added about 2 inches through the bust area to accommodate my larger cup size. The front is looking good and everything is where it should be, but now I'm staring at my pattern pieces and the back waistline is sitting about 2 inches lower than the front waistline which obviously looks wrong when they're laying flat on my cutting table. Am I right to expect that when the garment is actually on the body, the bust will fill out that extra 2 inches and the original back waistline will automatically match up with the front? or have I somehow messed up my adjustment and created a problem I'm going to discover way too late, like after I've already sewn the side seams?
I keep telling myself that it makes sense in theory because the extra length in the front is going over the bust, so once there's an actual bust in there, it should pull everything into alignment?
