Working on my first denim jacket for class, and my machine keeps struggling with thick seams. I’m wondering if special heavy-duty thread makes a difference. Any tips from those who tried denim? Appreciate any input
Made a few denim projects, and switching to heavy‑duty polyester thread plus a walking foot made a huge difference. The thread holds up, and the foot keeps layers from shifting. Let us know how it goes!
Be sure to use the heavy duty thread and heavy duty/jeans needles.
The curtain below was made with the heavy duty thread and needles. This was from 2009. Nutcracker on Ice, so I made the new "stage curtain" and the growing Christmas tree.
