Help: pants muslin adjustment

I'm working on a fun project but I'm a bit stuck. I'm making matching pants for my husband and me out of some great linen I found. I'm almost done with his pair and made him try it for the first time. We both agree that the legs are a little too narrow at the hem for the look we're going for. I'd like to make them a bit wider, but I'm not entirely sure how to adjust the pattern piece to do that correctly without messing up the rest of the fit. The waist and the hip look and feel fantastic so I'm hoping it's not a major redo. Any advice on how to get a little more flare at the bottom would be so appreciated! Thanks for any tips!

Locate where the knee falls on your pattern, generally around the inseam's midpoint, that's your pivot. Leave everything above this as it is. Then, on the front and back pieces, draw a line straight up from the bottom to the knee. Snip along that line, stopping at the knee and don't cut through. Open up the bottom a bit to get the flare you want; even an inch or two on each side can change the look. Use a curved ruler or just draw the side seam from the knee to the new hem. Be sure the legs match up. Since widening the hem can mess with the curve, make sure the new bottom lies flat when folded.
