Best fabric for kids costumes?

So my son has finally made up his mind and he wants to be a dragon for Halloween! I’m looking for something comfy but dramatic. Any suggestions for suggestions for beginner-friendly fabrics? Appreciate any suggestions!

That’s awesome! my niece was a dragon last year and loved it! I used fleece for the body since it’s soft, warm, and easy to sew. For the wings and tail, I added some shiny felt and a bit of tulle for flair. It turned out comfy according to her. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
