How to growth proof my son's clothes

Hey, I'm new to sewing and making shirts and pants for my 3YO
Since he's growing so fast (mostly taller!), I want tips and tricks to make the clothes last longer. I know about using a big hem on pants, but what about shirts and other common kid clothes?

Any advice on making clothes that can adjust as he grows?

Totally get it! 3‑year‑olds grow like they’re training for a height competition. For shirts, adding a deeper hem or using cuffed sleeves you can unfold later works great. Raglan and drop‑shoulder styles also buy you extra months because it works even if the size changes
