New to sergers and I need help!

I just got my first serger and threading it was really tricky. I’m trying to make rolled hems on napkins, but the edges curl up and look messy.
Is this something beginners go through? Any easy tips to fix the thread tension? Help a newbie out! Thanks in advance

I would spend so e time learning the basics before attempting rolled hems. Start with “scrap” fabric the same weight as your napkins and practice till you feel comfortable with using your machine.
