What’s the weirdest place you’ve discovered a runaway pin?

I’ll kick things off: a few weeks after finishing a dress project, I sat down on my couch and felt something sharp. Turns out a sewing pin had been hiding in the cushion all that time, it definitely was waiting to remind me of my messy cleanup habits!

Well, I once found a runaway pin inside my sock drawer. No idea how it got there, but I guess it wanted a cozy home 😂

I longarmed ball pins in to a quilt top, inside of a intricate pebble edge2edge border.
Didn't discover it until I was binding it...
I cut the pin parts off, but the balls remain. <Big Sigh> 😕

Oh goodness! I think it's best to run a quick flashlight check across the quilt top before binding, it makes those little guys easier to spot. Thanks for sharing @Jillian!
