I never thought much about seam allowances until I had to sew a Kwik Sew pattern with 1/4" SA. I'm so used to the standard 5/8", and this was brutal. Trying to keep fabric steady on such a narrow allowance made me feel like I'd forgotten how to sew overnight. Is there some trick to managing 1/4" seams without losing your mind? Different presser foot, tape guide, or just practice? I'm curious if people actually prefer the smaller SA for certain projects, or if everyone secretly hates it as much as I did.
