Need pattern drafting books for dollfies

My daughter's Dollfie needs a wardrobe update, and those gorgeous clothes on Volks are way too expensive (and the Etsy patterns I bought fit terribly!).
I want to learn how to draft patterns myself to make some cool non dress outfits. I learn best from actual books (videos drive me crazy!).

Any killer book recommendations for learning to draft patterns? Doll specific is perfect, but I'll totally take a human pattern book if it helps me figure out the 3D to 2D measurement process!

"Designs and Patterns for Dolls' Clothes" by Joan Hinds is helpful for doll outfits and "Patternmaking for Fashion Design" can teach you how to turn body shapes into flat patterns. Is your Dollfie Dream a standard size or custom?

I couldn’t afford Volks clothes either, so I started making my own. I found a book called “Sewing for Dolls” at the library, it’s simple and has good tips. Have you checked your local library or thrift shop?

my friend likes to make her own DD clothes, she gets free patterns from Japanese magazines. they're SmartDoll patterns, but can also be used for DD. you might want to check the measurements for your DD though

That sounds awesome! I’ve been experimenting with making clothes for my niece's DD using online tutorials, but patterns from magazines sound like a great resource. Do you know if those magazines are available digitally, or do you have to buy physical copies?
