Should I finally get an overlocker?

I'm getting back into dressmaking, and I want to seriously improve my skill, but my current machine is killing my motivation. The fake overlock stitch on my Janome is fine, but it's so slow!
What was your personal tipping point that made you finally decide to buy an overlocker? Should I drop the cash on a new machine, or just wait?

tere's nothing wrong with upgrading to a dedicated overlocker. it can improve the speed and finish quality of your dressmaking projects
