I am making the Tania Coatigan and trying to figure out what to do with the sleeves. I noticed that the sleeve cap curve is the same in the front and back and it's sewn in flat. I want to move the shoulder point forward by a half-inch but I am not sure how to adjust the sleeve cap.

I have looked at a lot of reviews online and many people mention doing a forward shoulder adjustment. But I have not found any discussions about what to do to the sleeve cap. I am a visual learner and am trying to find pictures of this kind of adjustment for a flat sleeve. I do not think I am using the right words to search. Does anyone know how to do this or are there any good tutorials or photos out there that can help me? I appreciate the help.

You don't really have to redraw the whole cap. Most folks just rotate the cap slightly forward to match the new seam. Basically, extend the front curve a smidge and trim the back. Nothing fancy, but it makes the sleeve sit better on the body.
