obviously, I'm new to sewing, I need advice on how to sew straight. going along the line is great, but my stitching starts wandering the moment the fabric covers up my reference line!
Does anyone have tips or tricks for sewing a perfectly straight line when you can't actually see the line anymore?

when I was a newbie, I used a magnetic seam guide to keep my stitches straight.
You can place it along any seam guideline on the needle plate of your sewing machine and easily move or remove it if you need to

don't watch the needle, but follow the guide. I mean, focus on keeping the edge of your fabric perfectly aligned with a fixed reference point on your machine, such as a marking on the needle plate or the edge of your presser foot
