Most people ise a serger to clean finish seams after they have been sewn. However, sergers can easily be used for construction as well. When making g t-shirts, I ise omly my serger. When constructi g more detailed/fitted garments, I use my sewing machine and then clean-finish with the serger. If your serger has an coverstitch option (my Babylock Triumph does), you can use it to hem garments, do quilting, a myriad of chores!I’m brand new to sewing and keep seeing people mention ‘sergers.’ I’m not sure what they do compared to a regular sewing machine.
